Operations

North Tipperary Fire Service operates a training centre at Nenagh Fire Station which is used by the other Local Authorities.

A significant programme of investment in upgrading the fire appliances has been in operation in the last number of years, with thanks to the Department of Environment, Heritage & Local Government. This is to ensure the quality of service delivery to the public.

North Tipperary Fire Authority actively promotes training with each fire fighter attending on-station training of 40 drills, each of 2 hour duration. Specialist training is also provided to fire fighters to ensure that a professional service is provided at all times to the public.

Remember that waivers of fire fighting fees are available in special circumstances.

To apply for the waiver, please print out the standard form and return it to North Tipperary County Council. This form is also available at our application forms section.
