Energy
Tipperary Energy Agency (TEA) is contracted by North Tipperary County Council
to provide an Energy Management Service which addresses the Council’s
energy use in the following ways:
- Analysis of energy used within the Council.
- Analysis of external forces and changes in the energy market.
(to make sure that the council is kept abreast of developments in the
area of energy, this ensures that full advantage can be taken of any
opportunities that arise and enables the Authority to react quickly to
any obligations that may arise for the Council in the energy area)
- Detailed analysis of individual Local Authority facilities
with regard to energy use, resulting in identification of potential savings
and implementation where possible.
- Energy awareness, information dissemination and training
provision both internally, to the Council members and staff, and externally,
to the wider population of North Tipperary on behalf of the Council.
Tipperary Energy Agency also assists the Environmental Awareness Officer
in campaigns such as Energy Awareness Week and promoting energy conservation
as part of the Green Schools Campaign.
