Thurles Bypass Constraints Report

A Constraints Study was carried out to identify factors that might affect the choice of route for a Bypass of Thurles, Co.Tipperary. The report from this study describes and catalogues the various constraints under a number of headings.

The documents listed below comprise the N62 Thurles Bypass Constraints Study Report and its Appendices A to G, and incorporate the outcome of a Public Consultation process held in March/April 2008. The Constraints Study Report does not contain any route options.

The N62 Thurles Bypass Constraints Study Area

The N62 Thurles Bypass Constraints Study Area is the annular region inside the red boundary
but not including the built-up area within the blue boundary,
and is the region in which a bypass of Thurles could be expected to be located.

The N62 Thurles Bypass project is being developed by the Mid West National Road Design Office (MWNRDO),
on behalf of North Tipperary County Council and Thurles Town Council,
in consultation with the National Roads Authority (NRA).
